Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and meal services run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn more about the culinary arts within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
  • Support chefs in meal preparation by following recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Help with catering events by preparing food items as directed by the head chef or catering manager.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
