Woodhill Grange - Nursing home for Older people

Woodhill Grange is a purpose built nursing home primarily for the care of older people in a homely environment. Our dedicated team supports older people to live with dignity, comfort, and independence—ensuring every resident enjoys a fulfilling life in a safe and nurturing community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced kitchen assistant to join our catering team. In return we offer:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned in accordance with established cleaning schedules
  • Adhere to all statutory and Company Health & Safety regulations
  • Correctly store all dry, chilled and perishable goods as soon as possible following receipt and checking
  • Store all cleaning materials safely and in full compliance with COSHH Regulations
  • Clean and correctly store all pots, pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware and service equipment to required standards
  • Support the delivery of seasonal, nutritious menus that enhance residents’ wellbeing and reflect individual dietary needs
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as instructed by the Chef, Head Chef or Home Manager

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in catering roles, ideally within a care home or hospitality environment
  • A kind, caring approach and a passion for delivering the highest standards of service and support to older people
  • Strong communication skills and a participatory approach to working with residents, relatives and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with flexibility to work independently when required
  • Right to work in the UK
