Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring that all food preparation and service areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
  • Supporting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Restocking supplies and organising storage areas to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Assisting with dishwashing duties during busy service periods
  • Adhering to all health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene standards is desirable
