Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft delicious meals in a professional environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Previous restaurant or culinary experience is preferred, but a genuine enthusiasm for cooking and serving quality food is essential.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Assist with meal planning and ingredient ordering to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or issues to management
  • Support the team during busy periods, including serving customers when necessary
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and contamination
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests through excellent service

Qualifications

Please only APPLY if you are currently working in an established kitchen , cooking and preparing food - Please do not apply if you DO not have any cooking experience , as the role is independent and requires a COOK trained already.

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and preparation
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Prior experience in serving customers is advantageous but not essential
