Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hands-on Bar Manager with Floor Experience to join our team at this community gastro pub. This role requires a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong culinary and beverage knowledge, and has proven supervisory skills. As the face of our bar team, you will deliver daily service, manage and train staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety, hospitality, and guest experience. Your energetic approach will inspire your team to deliver memorable moments for every guest while maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding service while maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere
  • Create and train in seasonal cocktail lists
  • Responsible for daily bar operations, including stock controls, line cleaning, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety regulations
  • Manage floor service, sometimes on own, ensuring smooth coordination between bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff for seamless guest experiences
  • Train and develop team members in hospitality best practices, food handling, serving techniques, and safety protocols
  • Monitor customer feedback and address any issues promptly to uphold high satisfaction levels
  • Implement operational procedures that promote efficiency, safety, and compliance with health standards

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within restaurant or hospitality environments with a focus on bar management
  • Strong background in restaurant or pub environment with knowledge and ability to work both bar and floor, on own in quiet periods
  • Familiarity with barista experience or beverage crafting techniques is a plus
  • Experience in serving guests in fast-paced environments with excellent hospitality skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food production and handling
