Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional part time Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your exceptional communication skills and passion for hospitality will help set the tone for each guest's visit. Please note this role will require flexibility to work weekends.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
  • Manage reservations and maintain an organised seating chart to optimise guest flow.
  • Assist guests with any inquiries, providing information about the menu and specials.
  • Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and answering questions regarding the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with the bar and waiting staff to ensure smooth service and timely table turnover.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area, ensuring a pleasant environment for guests.
  • Address any guest concerns or feedback promptly to enhance their experience.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant supervisory or management role is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on effective guest services.
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette and handling inquiries professionally.
  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to help create memorable experiences for guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
