Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily restaurant functions, ensure excellent customer service, and support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Candidates with prior restaurant experience, supervisory skills, and a background in food preparation or culinary arts are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Supervise front-of-house staff, including serving personnel and baristas, fostering a positive team environment
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards and food safety compliance
  • Support the culinary team with food production, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
  • Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards across the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on service procedures, food safety, and hospitality best practices
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies as needed
  • Support promotional activities and special events within the restaurant

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
  • Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, and serving roles
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or culinary arts is highly desirable
  • Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry regulations and best practices
