Full job description

BEAR serves speciality coffee, brunch, cocktails & craft beer in beautifully thought out spaces.

Our History

The story of BEAR starts with two best buds: Craig and Michael. The pair grew up together, copied each other’s work at school, and spent most of their teenage years trying to out-skill each other on their skateboards. Fast forward to adulthood - Craig spent some time travelling around Australia and fell in love with the all-day coffee, cocktails & dining scene over there.

After Craig returned to the UK, he decided that he wanted to bring some of that fabulous coffee culture to his hometown of Uttoxeter and so recruited the help of his pal, Michael, to get things off the ground. Craig & Michael got their heads together and set about researching the market, learning all they could and developing new skills with a view to create something super special.

In February 2016, BEAR Uttoxeter opened its doors and has been the busiest coffee spot in town ever since. Following the success of store number 1, the BEAR concept has grown to span across the midlands and beyond.

Job Description

As Deputy Store Manager, you serve as the face of BEAR, dedicated to providing excellent guest service and leading a passionate, happy team. You play an important part in assisting the Store Manager in promoting our brand culture as well as delivering great store performance, embodying BEAR’s core values and upholding our standards. You will play a vital role in leading the store team, completing the usual managerial responsibilities on a day-to-day basis, being an essential part of a strong team and supporting the store to meet targets. As a Deputy Store Manager, we expect you to have great attention to detail, drive service & sales, and be the constant face of energy and passion on the shop floor.

The atmosphere at BEAR is fast-paced but casual, with a strong focus on the quality of our coffee, fresh food, cocktails, and always providing the best service.
