Full job description

Loch Ness Clansman Hotel are recruiting for friendly team members. Full and part time roles available, as well as seasonal positions.

Rates of pay dependent on experience, variety of shifts available.

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Front of House Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the welcoming face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, contributing to a positive atmosphere for both guests and colleagues.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently to optimise seating arrangements
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar staff
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or dietary requirements
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in all front of house areas
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
  • Manage cash register operations, handle payments accurately, and provide correct change
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times, representing the establishment positively

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
  • Experience with food preparation or culinary activities is a plus but not mandatory
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
