Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to showcase their talents in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to standard recipes and specifications
  • Cook pizzas to perfection using traditional or specialised cooking methods
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and timely food delivery
  • Assist in developing new pizza recipes and menu items to enhance customer experience
  • Serve food to customers when required, ensuring presentation standards are met

Experience

  • Proven experience in food preparation, particularly within a pizzeria or restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques relevant to pizza making and meal preparation
  • Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and food safety regulations
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or catering service is preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with serving customers is advantageous but not essential
