Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation. Your expertise in food safety and kitchen practices will ensure that all meals are prepared in a clean and efficient manner.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, using fresh ingredients
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing offerings
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Provide exceptional service by ensuring that all dishes are presented beautifully and served promptly

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role
