The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example, ensuring seamless service, strong team performance, and an outstanding customer experience at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of venue operations
  • Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service
  • Manage busy service periods, ensuring smooth coordination between bar, floor, and kitchen teams
  • Take responsibility for the venue in the absence of the General Manager
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and company policies
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and manage wastage
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly
  • Assist with staff training, rotas, and performance management
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and atmosphere throughout the venue

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Manager within a busy bar, restaurant, or live music venue looking to progress
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late nights
  • A passion for hospitality, music, and creating memorable guest experiences
