Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and managing a team of kitchen staff to create a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing daily kitchen operations
• Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
• Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and portion control
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
• Support in developing new menu items and seasonal offerings
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor cleanliness of the kitchen environment and enforce health & safety protocols

Qualifications

• Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment
• Extensive food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management skills
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Passion for culinary arts and continuous professional development in hospitality industry
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork

Pay: £12.99-£13.50 per hour
