Salary & Package: From £41,000 OTE (Guaranteed base salary + approximately £6,000 steady Tron/tips).

Location: The Ship, Brancaster (PE31) – Beautiful North Norfolk Coast.

Contract: 40-Hour Guaranteed Annualised Contract. Enjoy full financial security with a predictable, steady monthly wage through the quiet winter months.

About Us
Following the award-winning success of our sister site, the Michelin Bib Gourmand-retaining Sculthorpe Mill, we took over The Ship in Brancaster and gave this historic 1790s coastal inn a new lease of life. In less than a year, our passionate team has already achieved incredible milestones:

  • Freshly recognised and listed in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide
  • Named by The Times & Sunday Times as the Best Place to Stay in the East of England
  • Featured by The Guardian as one of the UK’s best coastal destinations

Our food, led by Executive Chef Elliot Ketley, roots itself in premium modern British gastropub cooking with fresh Mediterranean influences. We are now seeking a driven, floor-focused Restaurant Manager to step in and lead our Front of House team through our next exciting chapter.

The Role
As our Restaurant Manager, you will be the absolute "engine" of our dining room floor. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you will:

  • Drive Service Excellence: Lead by example from bustling breakfast services through to premium, high-volume dinners.
  • Mentor the Team: Build, train, and inspire a high-performing Front of House team to maintain and elevate our Michelin-recommended standards.
  • Be the Ultimate Host: Engage with our loyal locals and coastal visitors alike, seamlessly balancing an elite dining experience with a warm, relaxed village pub atmosphere. [1, 2]

What You’ll Bring

  • Premium Experience: Proven management experience inside a high-quality, high-volume gastro pub, premium hotel, or Michelin-listed restaurant environment.
  • Floor Presence: A natural, charismatic host who thrives under the pressure of a busy weekend service and inspires staff to deliver "un-stuffy" but impeccable service.
  • Operational Capability: Strong understanding of day-to-day hospitality operations, including cellar management, compliance, and staff scheduling. [1]

What We Offer

  • Financial Stability: A secure annualised contract that guarantees your winter income on the Norfolk coast.
  • Reputation: A senior management role with an expanding, independent, award-winning group.
  • Relocation Support: Financial and logistical assistance is available for exceptional candidates looking to relocate to beautiful North Norfolk.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Discounted or free food
  • Employee discount
  • On-site parking
