Join Adventure Leisure as our Assistant General Manager at Mulligans Norwich and play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences and supporting the overall success of the venue.

As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the business, ensuring exceptional standards across our leisure activities, food and beverage offering, customer service, and health and safety compliance. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing a diverse team, creating a positive and inclusive working environment where colleagues can thrive and perform at their best.

The role combines operational leadership with commercial accountability, requiring you to monitor performance, drive revenue opportunities, control costs, and support the delivery of business objectives. You will help shape the guest journey by maintaining high service standards, resolving customer concerns, implementing local marketing initiatives, and building strong connections within the local community to increase engagement and footfall.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in the overall management and operation of the venue.
  • Lead, motivate and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of staff.
  • Ensure all activities, food and beverage services operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Monitor venue performance, helping to drive sales, profitability and achievement of business targets.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, presentation and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety, food safety and company policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Support stock management, ordering processes and cost controls across the venue.
  • Help plan and deliver local marketing initiatives, events and promotions to increase customer engagement and footfall.
  • Act as a duty manager, taking responsibility for the venue in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative workplace culture where everyone can succeed.
