The Company...

Harvey’s are one of the country’s most respected independent brewers. The brewery has been a landmark in Lewes, the county town of East Sussex, for over 200 years. Due to substantial investment in their properties, a Managed House Division has been created and we will be adding pubs to our estate in due course.

Therefore, we are keen to speak to ambitious General Managers/Deputy General Managers keen to develop their talent, with the support of an acclaimed company.

The role...

The General Manager takes overall operational control, fully accountable for the pub’s performance and that of their team. The role will involve managing the team and ensuring that the property is running at full capacity daily.

Key parts of this role are to ensure that all guests are receiving exceptional service through the training and development of staff.

The role will suit a seasoned operator, or strong Assistant Manager looking to step up, who is passionate about providing unforgettable service along with a love for a good quality food offering. Successful General Manager applicants will be coming from a Food and Beverage background along with previous experience of managing within the pub trade.

The ideal General Manager will have a passion for hospitality (a love of great beer would help too!), along with the ability to think on their feet and be confident to run the operation, being the ‘face’ of the pub.
