We have an exciting opportunity for a Restaurant Manager role to oversee our Hotel Restaurant .

Oceana Hotels aim to set ourselves apart from others with a level of service and attention to detail that is second to none and an atmosphere that can only be described as a home-from-home. We put the guest at the heart of everything we do.

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for effective running of the Restaurant, whilst maximising providing an excellent customer service to all hotel visitors and customers. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great customer service. You should also be available to work within opening hours, including weekends and holidays.

Ultimately, you will help minimise operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.

Main responsibilities

· Oversee restaurant staff performance, ensuring quality dining and service

  • Be courteous to guests at all times ensuring they are made to feel welcome
  • Ensure the shift runs smoothly by allocating tasks to staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentability of the restaurant at all times
  • Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
  • Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms)
  • To assume Restaurant Manager responsibilities when necessary such as payroll and staff shift schedule
  • Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed
  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
  • Supervise kitchen and waiting staff and assist when needed
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations

Requirements

  • Experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Good math and reporting skills
  • Customer service attitude
  • Communication and team management abilities
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
  • High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus
  • Legal right to work in the UK
