Porthcawl, South Wales

NEW OPENING JUNE/JULY

About Us
Front Room is a growing independent café, bar, and pizza spot built around great food and genuinely warm hospitality. We’re a close-knit team who take real pride in what we do—big on using quality, UK sourced ingredients whilst supporting other independent businesses. It's an exciting time as Front Room is opening its second site on the bustling seafront of Porthcawl.

We care just as much about the atmosphere as we do what’s on the plate. Good music, good people, and a team that actually enjoys working together—it’s something we’ve built carefully, and we’re keen to keep it that way with every new hire.

The Role
As a Manager of Front Room, you’ll work closely with the rest of the management team to oversee daily operations and ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll lead by example on the floor, support and develop the team, and help deliver a consistently great experience for every guest. It's important to create an atmosphere whether it’s the music playing, the lighting, or the overall feel of the room, everything is thought about to make sure guests feel comfortable and want to stay and are well looked after from the moment they walk in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day running of the venue
  • Lead shifts and manage the team on the floor
  • Deliver excellent customer service and handle guest feedback
  • Assist with staff training and development
  • Help manage stock, ordering, and opening/closing procedures
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, service and food quality
  • Responsible for upholding our values and culture

About You

  • Passionate about hospitality and creating great guest experiences
  • A natural leader who brings positive energy to the team
  • Reliable and confident opening and closing the venue
  • Previous experience working within a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay (based on experience)
  • Opportunities for progression as the business grows
  • A supportive, friendly team environment
  • The chance to be part of an independent business where your input matters
  • Work in a beautiful location next to the sea
