Catering Regional Operations Supervisor

£17.75 per hour

36.5 hours per week

Temporary until September (with potential extension) |

Location: Mid Ulster

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Regional Operations Supervisor to join a leading organisation delivering bespoke catering services across Mid Ulster.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of School Meals Kitchens and Dining Centres across a designated region. An Enhanced Access NI check will be required.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Regional Operations Manager (ROM) in the management of School Meals Kitchens and catering teams.

· Provide operational cover for kitchens during staff absences, including ordering supplies, cash handling and financial returns.

· Assist with recruitment, induction, training and development of catering staff.

· Deliver food safety, health & safety and operational training across kitchen teams.

· Respond to staffing emergencies and help ensure service continuity.

· Support service improvement initiatives, policy implementation and quality standards.

· Monitor food service standards, nutritional guidelines and menu compliance.

· Promote innovation, best practice and continuous improvement across the service.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

· HND (or equivalent/higher) in a Catering-related subject and 2 years' supervisory experience in the catering industry; OR

· Level 4 Management Qualification, HNC, BTEC National Diploma, Institute of Hospitality qualification (or equivalent) and 3 years' supervisory experience; OR

· 4 years' supervisory experience within the catering industry.

In addition, applicants must have:

· Knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH legislation.

· Access to suitable transport to meet the mobility requirements of the role.

· Excellent communication and organisational skills.

· The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· The flexibility to respond to operational needs, including occasional work outside normal hours.
