We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and driven Restaurant Manager to join the team at Chef Adam Handling’s Ugly Butterfly restaurant.

In a stunning Cornish Atlantic setting, in the iconic Headland Hotel in Newquay, Ugly Butterfly restaurant and bar offers spectacular views across one of the world's most beautiful coasts, Fistral Beach. Ugly Butterfly showcases chef Adam Handling’s passion for converting locally-sourced, quality ingredients from the South-West into beautifully-presented dishes, packed full of flavour.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities
  • Manage team schedules, assign duties, and oversee team performance to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent guest service and resolving any guest concerns promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock control efficiently.
  • Implement training programmes for team development
  • Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently during both busy and periods and adheres to budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven managerial experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate team and foster a positive working atmosphere.
  • Extensive restaurant experience
  • Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining professionalism.
