Full job description

Nossa is a very busy brunch / cafe that prides itself on our brand and have a great team that work well together.

The main responsibilities of the assistant manager will be to ensure a high standard of service and make sure our customers are provided with a friendly, professional service during their Nossa experience. You will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of beverages as well as knowledge of the food served.

You must be able to train and develop skills in members of the team and have financial acumen as well as strong organisational skills to work effectively with the front of house team as well as the kitchen team.

You will have experience and proven success as a cafe assistant manager and have the ability to learn new skills , multitask and remain calm under pressure.

You will need to understand company cashing up procedures and checking cash ups, taking orders and working on the floor to ensure a smooth running of service. Handle complaints and any issues that arise.

Filling in and checking relevant paperwork and documentation. Inspire the team and actively support staff. Be a team player, an excellent communicator, cope well in a fast paced environment and be flexible.

The cafe bistro is not open on evenings so offers a good work life balance.
