Full job description

Restaurant Manager/Sommelier

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager/Sommelier to supervise food and drink service at our Michelin-starred restaurant. The successful candidate will have good IT/system skills, solid F&B knowledge, ideally including a WSET Level 3 qualification, and a genuine interest in learning about our food and drink offer, and be able to communicate well with our customers and lead internal staff training on our wine offer, as well as working with our wine consultant and suppliers to continuously develop our wine list to complement our highly seasonal food offer (please see our website for samples of menus).

This is a very hands-on role leading by example from the front alongside our Chef/Director and requires good organisational skills to run a number of dining areas simultaneously up to 80 covers. The Restaurant also offers private dining options, including shooting parties.

Full training will also be given on the Alacer system as the candidate progresses.

Applications are invited from those seeking full time (up to 50 hours).

The holiday allowance is pro-rata of 28 paid days holiday per annum and a workplace pension scheme is in operation. Generous staff tips are shared equitably amongst all staff via our Tronc system in proportion to hours worked.

Whilst a range has been indicated, salary will be dependent upon experience. This is a position with great potential to progress within the company within a very professional team.

A full Job Description will be made available at time of interview.
