Lead the whole experience at BrewBoard

BrewBoard is looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to take full responsibility for our new venue in Cambridge, combining a coffee shop, pizza restaurant, beer taproom and wine offering.

As a brewery passionate about great beer, fantastic food and bringing people together, we're looking for a commercially minded hospitality leader who can build a great team, deliver exceptional customer experiences and run a successful, profitable venue.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the venue: Oversee all day-to-day operations across the café, pizza kitchen, bar and taproom.
• Manage the team: Recruit, train, motivate and develop staff, managing performance and rotas.
• Drive profitability: Take responsibility for sales, budgets, labour costs, food and drink margins, stock control and wastage.
• Maintain high standards: Ensure excellent coffee, food, beer and wine, alongside outstanding service and cleanliness.
• Manage the kitchen: Oversee pizza operations, food quality, food safety, menu execution and kitchen costs.
• Grow the business: Develop promotions, events and new ideas to increase sales and attract customers.
• Ensure compliance: Maintain food hygiene, health and safety, allergen and licensing standards.
• Build relationships: Work with suppliers, customers, the local community and BrewBoard's senior management team.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience managing a busy hospitality venue, ideally as a General Manager or Venue Manager.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing and developing a team.
• Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, sales, labour costs and stock.
• Experience across food and beverage operations, ideally including a kitchen and bar.
• A hands-on, proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for hospitality, great food, quality coffee and beer.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.

You don't need to be a specialist barista or chef, but you must be confident managing all aspects of a multi-faceted hospitality operation.
