Restaurant Manager

Smith’s of Ongar established in 1958 provides fresh, sustainable seafood that is famed throughout the South East and are now recruiting for an General Manager to join its established team.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a top performing team within an exceptional dining environment. You will manage the planning, organisation and supervision of the restaurant.

As General Manager, you will be a talented and dynamic individual with proven experience in a similar restaurant environment in a leadership role where quality food, wine and ingredients are key priorities. An excellent and confident communicator, you will take a hands-on approach to your role and your team, with a focus on training and developing colleagues. A minimum of 3 years experience in a management role within a high-volume restaurant environment is essential for this role.

The ideal candidates for this positions will have:

-Previous experience in a similar role in a high-end restaurant.

-Strong people management skills and experience with managing a large team.

-Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and with guests.

-Excellent communication skills.

-Ability to motivate and drive the team

-Must be friendly, attentive and eye for detail.

-A passion for hospitality and customer service.

-Must have high level of both spoken and written English.

-Ability to work under pressure.
