The opportunity

As Restaurant General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the restaurant's success.

You'll have ownership of day-to-day operations, leading your management team and creating an environment where employees feel motivated, supported and proud of what they deliver.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, lead from the front and bring fresh ideas to the table.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full ownership of restaurant operations, performance and profitability.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing management and restaurant team.
  • Delivering outstanding guest experiences and maintaining exceptional hospitality standards.
  • Driving sales, increasing covers and identifying opportunities for commercial growth.
  • Managing labour costs, budgets and overall restaurant profitability.
  • Building strong relationships within the local community to increase awareness and repeat business.
  • Maintaining excellent standards across food quality, service, cleanliness and compliance.
  • Creating a positive, engaging workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
  • Recruiting, developing and retaining talented team members.

What we're looking for

You'll already have experience managing a busy restaurant and understand what it takes to run a successful hospitality operation.

You'll be equally comfortable analysing performance figures, developing your managers and supporting your team on the restaurant floor.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in a comparable senior restaurant management position.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing sales, labour costs and profitability.
  • A track record of leading, motivating and developing successful teams.
  • A genuine passion for food, hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • The confidence to take ownership, make decisions and drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive approach to building relationships and growing the restaurant's reputation within the local area.

Experience within a premium casual dining, high-volume restaurant or quality-led hospitality environment would be particularly relevant.
