Summary

We are looking for an engaging and passionate Assistant Manager to assist the General Manager in the daily running of Cook House Bar and Kitchen. The ideal person will be able to demonstrate the highest levels of attention to detail, be quality driven, and can work at pace without compromising standards. Offering a hands-on approach and positive leadership by example are essential.

Key responsibilities

· Assisting the General Manager with the successful day to day management of all aspects of the restaurant and bar, taking full control and accountability for all areas in their absence.

· Oversee restaurant operations and service to ensure smooth, efficient and profitable shifts.

· Thorough understanding in running a 100+ cover service with a proven track record in a similar role.

· Experience in training, developing and motivating teams to deliver exceptional levels of customer service.

· Develop and implement strategies to improve guest services and restaurant profitability

· Ensure all current Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures are complied with

· Open and close the business to a high standard ensuring all procedures are followed, training others to do the same.

· Following operations policies throughout the building - security, cash management and reporting, administration management, health and safety

· Monitor waste of wet/dry stock and ensure ordering & stock control is correct.

Key Skills and Experience

· Proven track record and strong experience in a similar restaurant management role.

· Experience with managing a team consisting of bar, floor and kitchen staff.

· Excellent organisational skills and problem-solving skills.

· First aid, fire marshal, personal licence desirable.

· Confident in dealing with customer queries and complaints head on.

· Experience using POS and table reservation systems such as Lightspeed, Bizimply, Opentable.

· Excellent knowledge of working a bar, cellar management, kitchen liaison, barista training,

Shifts, salary & benefits.

Your working week will consist of a 40-hour week with all over time paid at your normal hourly rate. We do not expect any unpaid overtime. Your shifts will be a mix of morning and evening shifts including weekends. Your week must be flexible to suit the needs of the business, but also to suit your work life balance.

· Starting salary will be from £31,200 (£15 per hr) based on a 40 hour working week, depending on experience which can be discussed at interview

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
