Full job description

Combe Grove is a centre for advanced health and wellbeing in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath. We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Dining Room Manager to lead the day to day operation of the hospitality team.

The role is based within the Map Room café and dining room, which is central to the Combe Grove Estate, where we serve nutritionally balanced food made in house using produce grown from the Estate kitchen garden or sourced locally.

Sharing a passion for health and wellbeing and understanding the great benefits of using food as medicine for health, the team of chefs, nutritionists and horticulturists create seasonal menus that are delicious and nutritionally designed to provide the best support for balanced metabolic health to the members.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational standards and managing the commercial performance of the department. You will lead and develop the team, oversee service delivery, manage stock and labour performance and help create a welcoming, wellbeing-focused environment aligned with the wider Combe Grove ethos.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced hospitality leader with strong organisational and commercial skills, a passion for customer experience and the ability to lead a team with professionalism, positivity and accountability.

Working Times

This is a flexible contract offering approximately 40 hours excluding breaks each week, working eight hours between 07:30-20:00, five days across Monday to Sunday according to the team rota.

As a member of the team there are enriching benefits to enjoy:

· A full solo membership of The Club at Combe Grove, which has fantastic flood-lit indoor and outdoor facilities, including a state-of-the-art gym, indoor and outdoor heated pools and undercover tennis courts available all year round.

· Subsidised meals made from nutritious, sustainably sourced, organic, free-range, local ingredients which as far as possible are sourced from the Estate Kitchen Garden.

· Access to the 70 acre estate which proudly showcases our oldest woodland, Eastwood which is approximately 200 years old. A beautiful setting offering a rich diversity of plants and trees to enjoy a lunchtime walk.

· Subsidised treatments and therapies provided by the on-site team using pure, organic products from the South West of England with selected medicinal herbs and aromas to support the therapeutic benefit of treatments.

· 30 days annual leave each year pro-rata

· On site Car-Parking and bicycle racks. You may want your own transport to the Estate as public transport is limited
