The 14-room boutique hotel is operated by Macbeth Hotels Ltd, who also run the award-winning Beck Hall Malham, England’s first 100% plant-based hotel.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our restaurant, bar, and front-of-house operation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in hospitality management, excellent restaurant service skills, and a genuine passion for cocktails, wine, and guest experience.

Working closely with the hotel management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service standards, developing the front-of-house team, and ensuring the restaurant and bar continue to be recognised as a destination for both hotel guests and local diners.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage all restaurant and bar service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout service periods.

· Develop and maintain high standards of cocktail preparation, wine service, and beverage presentation.

· Handle guest feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly and effectively.

· Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels.

· Conduct regular stocktakes and oversee ordering, stock control, and wastage management.

· Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, food hygiene, and company procedures.

· Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver a seamless guest experience.

· Monitor financial performance, labour costs, and departmental profitability.

· Support the wider hotel operation and work closely with other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

What We’re Looking For

· Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar hospitality management role is essential.

· Strong restaurant and front-of-house experience in a quality hospitality environment.

· Excellent cocktail, wine, and bar knowledge with experience managing beverage service and stock control.

· Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

· Outstanding guest service and communication skills.

· A calm, organised, and hands-on management style.

· Strong commercial awareness with experience managing labour costs, stock, and profitability.

· A passion for food, drinks, and creating memorable guest experiences.

· Flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

· Reliability, professionalism, and a positive can-do attitude.

· Interest in plant-based food and values (essential).

· Full driving licence and own transport (essential).

Benefits

· Relaxed and friendly working environment.

· Paid breaks.

· Wages paid weekly.

· Salary based on experience and qualifications.

· Tips and meals on duty included.

· Hours available year-round.

· Regular, consecutive days off with no chaotic shift patterns.

· Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

· 20% staff discount on all food and drinks.

· On-site parking.
