The successful candidate will inspire the team, support operational excellence, and ensure every guest receives the highest level of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support front-of-house team members throughout each shift.
  • Welcome guests warmly and ensure an exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure.
  • Resolve guest enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor service quality, presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate and timely food and beverage service.
  • Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance development.
  • Prepare team briefings and allocate duties before each service.
  • Manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow during busy periods.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels of front-of-house supplies and report shortages.
  • Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation when required.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of one years experience as a Waiter, Restaurant Supervisor, Floor Supervisor, or similar supervisory role within a busy, high-quality restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and motivating front-of-house teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service, and food and beverage service standards.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Career Development

At Vermilion, we believe in investing in our people. While this Restaurant Supervisor role requires the qualifications and supervisory experience outlined above, we also welcome ambitious hospitality professionals who are currently working as waiters, servers, or in other junior front-of-house positions to apply for suitable entry-level vacancies within the business. However must have minimum Bachelor's degree in hospitality, as mentioned above.

We provide training, mentoring, and clear career progression opportunities, enabling committed employees to develop their skills and progress into supervisory and management roles as experience and capability grow.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Indian, Thai, or Asian cuisine and service styles.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification.

Personal Attributes

  • Passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality.
  • Professional, confident, and customer-focused.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Reliable, organised, and able to maintain high standards at all times.
