Assistant Restaurant Manager

Ellenborough Park Hotel, Cheltenham

Salary: £26,910 per annum, plus monthly non-contractual service charge

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Ellenborough Park is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead our Restaurant team within our luxury 5-star hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and ambitious team within one of the Cotswolds’ most distinctive luxury hotels. Our dining experiences are centred around seasonal, produce-led menus inspired by classic British cuisine. With creativity, attention to detail and genuine hospitality at the heart of everything we do, we are proud to create memorable experiences for every guest.

The Role

This position will predominantly cover lunch and evening services, with occasional breakfast shifts. Candidates must be flexible to work weekdays and weekends. Please note, split shifts are not required for this role.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our Restaurant while helping to lead, motivate and develop the team.

You will be passionate about delivering exceptional service standards and creating a positive, supportive environment where the team can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, professional and intuitive service to all guests
  • Support, coach and motivate the restaurant team to achieve exceptional service standards
  • Help create a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of the Restaurant ahead of service
  • Provide expert food and beverage knowledge to enhance the guest experience
  • Support the management team in the smooth operation of all food and beverage outlets
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest care are maintained at all times

About You

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic hospitality professional who is passionate about guest experience, team development and luxury service standards.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous supervisory experience within a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure whilst maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Excellent spoken English and professional presentation standards
  • A proactive and supportive approach to teamwork
