Full job description

We are looking for a highly motivated, patient-focused Dental Patient Coordinator (TCO)/Qualified Dental Nurse to join our growing dental practice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, building strong relationships, and helping patients confidently begin their dental treatment journey.

As the first point of contact for patients considering treatment, you will play a vital role in guiding them through their options, explaining treatment plans, and ensuring an outstanding patient experience from consultation through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Conduct patient consultations and discuss treatment options in a clear, professional, and empathetic manner.
  • Present treatment plans, explain fees, and discuss available finance options.
  • Coordinate appointments and treatment schedules efficiently.
  • Dental nursing duties
  • Take clinical photo's and intra-oral scans
  • Take dental radiographs (if appropriately qualified)
  • Follow up on patient enquiries and consultations to maximise treatment acceptance.
  • Build and maintain strong patient relationships through regular communication.
  • Liaise closely with clinicians and the wider practice team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment correspondence.
  • Monitor treatment conversion rates and contribute to practice growth targets.
  • Dental reception duties when needed
  • About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Dental Treatment Coordinator, dental receptionist, qualified nurse
  • GDC Registered nurse would be preferable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A confident, professional, and compassionate approach with patients.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • The ability to explain treatment options and costs clearly and confidently.
  • Experience discussing patient finance options (desirable).
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Confidence using dental practice management software and Microsoft Office.

  • Patient satisfaction and experience.
  • Treatment plan acceptance rates.
  • Patient retention and referral generation.
  • Effective diary management and treatment coordination.
  • Contribution to practice growth and performance targets.
