Full job description

Stringfellows is looking for an experienced, confident and professional waiting-team member to join our restaurant in Covent Garden on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on role within a busy, premium late-night hospitality venue. We need someone with strong full-service restaurant experience who can confidently manage their own section, provide polished service and create an excellent experience for every guest.

About the role

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering warm, attentive and professional table service
  • Managing your own section efficiently throughout service
  • Taking accurate food and drink orders and using the POS system
  • Demonstrating good menu, wine, Champagne and cocktail knowledge
  • Making informed recommendations and confidently upselling
  • Serving VIP guests, private parties and special occasions
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and preparation
  • Supporting opening, closing and routine side duties
  • Working closely with the kitchen, bar and wider venue team

What we are looking for

  • At least two years’ experience in a quality full-service restaurant, premium hospitality venue or similar environment
  • Strong table-service skills and the ability to carry a busy section independently
  • Excellent communication and guest-service skills
  • Good food and beverage knowledge
  • Confidence handling guest requests and resolving issues professionally
  • Reliability, punctuality and a genuine team-focused attitude
  • Availability to work evenings, late nights and weekends
  • The ability to travel home safely after late finishes
  • The right to work in the UK
