Sales & Events Manager

The Purple Owl is South West London’s premier multi-concept destination.

200-capacity creative hub merging hands-on creative experiences, artisan hospitality, and late-night music culture.

By day, we aim to be a buzzing creative retreat offering specialty coffee, matcha, artisan pizza, and crêpes alongside curated 2-hour seated workshops—spanning pottery painting, air-clay modeling, canvas painting, candle decoration, and bespoke heat-pressed fabric design. By night, our space transforms into a stylish, DJ-led venue licensed until 2 AM for weekend nightlife,

THE ROLE: SALES-DRIVEN INDIVIDUAL

This is a pivotal commercial role for an ambitious deal-closer.

You will lead the reservations and help implement marketing partners, possibly also assist with full event creation.

TUESDAY - SATURDAY 40 HOURS ROLE

You need to be confident, competent and willing to outreach to both corporate clients, members of the public and local B2B. Speaking with clients from initial enquiry, to closing deposits and pre-orders/package deals.

Owning the sales enquiries pipeline from inbound conversion to execution

Selling engaging experiential workshops paired with canepes, cocktails, and vibrant nightlife entertainment.

IIMPORTANT EXPERIANCE

-Platform Optimisation & Booking Systems

-DesignMyNight & Collins: Master daily management,

inquiry tracking, automated workflows, and yield optimization

via DesignMyNight and Collins.

-Sales experience, preferably hospitality

platforms, venue portals, and corporate marketplaces to

ensure optimal lead flow and conversion.

-Event Detailing & Commercial Reporting

Seamless Handover: Coordinate detailed function sheets,

run-of-shows, and dietary needs with operations, kitchen, and

bar teams.

Retention & KPIs: Drive post-event re-bookings; monitor

conversion rates, lead response times, and weekly revenue

targets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

Language & Communication: ESSENTIAL Strong, well-spoken English language skills with exceptional verbal presentation and written business communication.

System Expertise: ESSENTIAL Hands-on experience with DesignMyNight and Collins booking software (or comparable

industry-standard venue reservation/CRM systems).

Platform & B2B Acumen: Proven track record in B2B corporate sales outreach and optimizing third-party event sales platforms,

portals, and listing channels.

Proven Sales Closer: Minimum 2+ years of success in proactive sales, event management, or corporate bookings within

hospitality, experiential venues, or creative entertainment.

Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of minimum spends, per-head yields, conversion funnels, and revenue maximization

across day and night operational slots.

Cultural Alignment & Drive: Genuine passion for the arts, music, and social experiences, coupled with a proactive, self-starter

approach and rigorous attention to detail.
