Full job description

Priory Cafe is looking for a Chef in Charge.

We’re on the lookout for a confident, experienced chef to take the lead in our busy café kitchen. Not quite a “head chef” in a white-tablecloth sense, but definitely someone who knows their way around a fast-paced service and can keep things running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing:

- Running the kitchen during busy periods

- Keeping on top of stock, orders, and organisation

- Supporting and guiding the team

- Maintaining high standards across food and cleanliness

- Helping with dishes and keeping the kitchen flowing.

What we’re looking for:

- Solid experience running a kitchen (café, canteen, or similar)

- Someone organised, calm under pressure, and happy to lead

- A proper team player who can also take charge when needed

- Supporting and guiding the team

- Maintaining high standards across food and cleanliness

- Good awareness of stock control and day-to-day kitchen management.
