Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor/Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of bar and restaurant management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and service quality. Previous experience in supervising within a hospitality setting is essential, along with a proactive approach to team management and operational excellence.

Duties

  • Supervise the daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate food production activities, including cooking and food presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and oversee inventory control to minimise waste.
  • Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with staff training programmes, including serving techniques and hospitality standards.
  • Monitor operational procedures during shifts to optimise efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, staff schedules, and operational reports.

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel service roles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods.
  • Leadership qualities combined with a friendly yet professional demeanour.
  • Knowledge of barista skills or bar management is advantageous.
  • Ability to oversee food service operations including serving guests efficiently.
