Overview

Sushi Chef – NA•MI Sushi Bar, Tooting

We’re looking for an experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at NA•MI Sushi Bar in Tooting Market.

We are a busy sushi restaurant serving All You Can Eat and à la carte, so we need someone who is confident working during busy service and has good experience with different types of sushi.

The role includes:

* Preparing nigiri, sashimi, uramaki, hosomaki, temaki and other sushi dishes

* Preparing and cutting salmon, tuna and other fish

* Sushi rice preparation

* Daily prep and setting up the sushi section before service

* Making orders quickly while keeping good presentation and consistency

* Checking stock and helping reduce waste

* Keeping your section clean and organised

* Following food hygiene and food safety procedures

* Working together with the other chefs during busy services

What we’re looking for:

* Previous experience working as a Sushi Chef

* Good knife and fish preparation skills

* Confident making nigiri, sashimi and different types of rolls

* Able to work quickly under pressure

* Reliable, organised and a good team player

* Available to work evenings and weekends

We’re looking for someone who already has solid sushi experience and can become part of the team quickly.

Full-time position. Pay depending on experience.
