Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and efficient environment. This role offers valuable experience in a professional kitchen setting and is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and food safety standards.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
  • Support chefs with cooking tasks to ensure timely meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Help with meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety guidelines
  • Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and organising supplies
  • Support serving staff during busy periods to facilitate smooth service delivery
  • Follow all hygiene protocols to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary environment is desirable
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness
