Here at The Fig & Olive we are a family run growing business & we are looking for a passionate Duty Restaurant Manager to join our team.

Full Time Position - Fully flexible to work daytime & evening, weekday's & weekends covering 45 hours per week.

About You

As a part of our Fig & Olive team you’ll demonstrate a keen interest in delivering an extraordinary level customer service and sharing a great food experience with our customers.

Your communication skills will be first class and you'll enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues . We’ll teach you all about our excusive menu options so you can share it with our customers. It is essential you are fully flexible to work varying shifts including weekends.

Previous experience as an assistant restaurant manager in a fast-paced restaurant environment or hospitality and catering industry would be highly advantageous but not a necessity.

Some of the daily tasks your role would entail are;

-Opening and closing down the restaurant.

- Reporting any discrepancies or issues on the daily handover.

- Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner.

- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues that employees are not authorised to handle on their own.

- Support Restaurant Manager with day-to-day running of the restaurant and staff training. Welcoming customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, offering wine etc.

- Checking in on dining customers to enquire about food quality and service.

- Having a friendly and interpersonal manner with guests.

- To anticipate guests’ needs wherever possible and promote hospitality within the restaurant, enhancing guest satisfaction.

- Project an in-depth knowledge of the food and drink we serve and understanding customers specific needs to deliver a unique experience.

- Inspire the team to deliver impeccable service with unwavering attention to detail to our guests throughout their time.

- Dealing with daily schedule changes, employee call-ins, and other staffing issues.

- Filling in for absent employees as needed to ensure smooth operation of the business.

- Provide support to other areas of the restaurant team as and when required

- Acting as a role model for all employees by continuously exhibiting a high level of service and attention to detail in all tasks.

- To carry out quality training and coaching in a systematic and professional manner using the Restaurant & Bar training programme.

- Mentoring new staff members.

- Willingness to share your knowledge with junior members of the team so they are continually learning and developing.

- Reporting any disputes between employees to the Restaurant Manager.

- To ensure daily and weekly staff briefings.

- Assigning sections to waiting staff.

Any other reasonable duties as required to fulfil the needs of the business
