About us

TERRA Restaurant and Tottington Manor are a Restaurant, Hotel & Events Venue just north of Brighton in the South Downs, we are just 10 minutes from the Shoreham flyover at the A27, 10 minutes from the A23 junction at Pyecomber and 20 minutes from Horsham.

We are situated in a truly beautiful location and our guests join us because of our great team, hospitality, food and our location.

Our 50 Cover Terra Restaurant is complemented by 2 private dining rooms, an additional 50 cover outside decking area, 40 covers in our Courtyard and 95 cover events suite there is always something different happening every day at Tottington Manor.

Tottington Manor and TERRA Restaurant are looking for Full time Experienced Restaurant supervisor to join our Front of House team . We pride ourselves on Great Hospitality and our guests reflect that in the tips and service charge they leave after having a great meal with us.

We are an independent Restaurant & hotel and pride ourselves on providing great hospitality and food. As a result our team regularly receive between £2 and £3 per hour in additional tips and service charge on top of the advertised wage.

Position Summary:
Restaurant Supervisor at Tottington Manor Hotel is responsible for leading the front of house team and providing an outstanding dining experience to our guests, serving both food and drinks, At times they may also check guests into the hotel and take responsibility for ensuring they are having a great stay. We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, hard-working individual who wants to work in an enjoyable environment that is different every day.

Location requirements:

We are in a truly beautiful location, but there is no suitable public transport so you either need your own car or motorbike or very helpful parents.

Requirements:

  • Working casual or Full time of 38hrs per week, with a typical shift 11:30am - 22:30pm including weekends
  • A typical week is 3 full days and 1 evening, but will flex up and down around that average depending on demand.
  • 10 - 12 days off every 4 weeks.
  • Must be able to work in a High quality, experience led environment
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Must have knowledge and experience of working in a customer facing food or drink environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking food and drink orders
  • Preparing drinks to a high standard
  • Serving food and drink to guests in an AA Rosette restaurant.
  • Providing hospitality to our guests by taking an interest in their stay and learning the preferences of our regular guests.
  • Checking guests in and out of the hotel
  • Taking reservations and bookings for the Hotel, restaurant and events.
  • Cleaning, tidying and restocking the venue ready for a fresh start each day

Development:

  • Exceptional staff can move onto restaurant management or Event Management.

Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
