Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Duty Manager/Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our bar and restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team, uphold operational excellence, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Previous experience working in a bar and/or restaurant environment is essential, along with strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Manage and oversee team members, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within service areas
  • This is a hands-on role, serving customers as well as setting standards for the team
  • Uphold the organisation’s policies on safety, hygiene, and service standards

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
  • Strong team management and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage with guests effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure during busy periods
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards including serving protocols and beverage service (bar experience advantageous)
  • Organised with a keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained at all times
