Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the smooth operation of catering services. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and food service, with a keen eye for detail and excellent customers service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and hygiene
  • Serving food and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including washing up and sanitising utensils and surfaces
  • Supporting the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations at all times
  • Providing exceptional guest services by attending to customer needs promptly and professionally
  • Restocking supplies as needed during service periods
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock control

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or catering
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • Experience in food preparation or serving roles is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with customers
  • Ability to work flexibly, including during busy periods
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting

For this role an enhanced DBS check will be applied for as part of your employment.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
