Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team, at The Black Boy in Heddington. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary experience, strong leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and inspire a team of kitchen staff in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Candidates with supervising experience and a background in food production are highly desirable. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to optimise team performance
