Bar Supervisor

Lowes on Carter Street, Uttoxeter
£15 per hour
Part-time available

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Bar Supervisor to join the team at Lowes on Carter Street. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional service, and is ready to take ownership of the bar operation on our busiest nights.

As Bar Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for running the bar efficiently during service, supporting and leading the team, and developing towards independently managing shifts in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the bar during busy service periods, ensuring smooth and efficient operation
  • Prepare and serve drinks to a consistently high standard
  • Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
  • Support, train, and motivate junior bar staff
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the bar at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control
  • Ensure licensing, health & safety, and hygiene standards are upheld
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
  • Develop the skills and confidence to manage full service shifts when the Restaurant Manager is absent

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior bar role
  • Strong cocktail, wine, and general beverage knowledge preferred
  • Confident leading a team in a busy service environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability
  • High standards and strong attention to detail
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
