Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our soon to be created dynamic team at the soon to be opened Steak Restaurant here in Armthorpe.. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to food safety standards. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, as well as a solid background in food production and culinary practices.

Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the establishment, including staff supervision and training.
  • Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation in accordance with culinary guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
  • Support team management by fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
  • Help develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain quality control in food production.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
