Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated candidate to join our fish and chips team. The ideal person will be responsible for preparing and cleaning while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for frying, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables or proteins as needed.
  • Serving customers in the restaurant and take away sections.
  • Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality fried dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station and surrounding kitchen areas.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is essential.
  • Culinary experience within a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is required.
  • Experience in meal preparation and serving within a fast-paced kitchen environment is beneficial.
