Job Title:

Front of House Team Member

Responsible to:

Senior Front of House, Catering Manager

Main Purpose of Job:

Front of House team members play a key role in delivering excellent customer service across all front-of-house areas, including retail, reception, guest services, and catering. The role requires an enthusiastic, friendly, hard-working, and well-organised individual who can support multiple departments as needed.

This is a varied and fast-paced position involving direct customer interaction, operational support, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation. Team members will be deployed flexibly across reception, retail, guest services, and catering depending on business needs, with full training provided for all operational areas.

Main responsibilities

  • Welcome and check in all guests, ensuring a smooth and professional arrival process.
  • Monitor access to the Park and support queue management during busy periods.
  • Assist guests with bookings for Park activities and Aquaventure.
  • Operate the Aquaventure reception, checking in participants and arranging equipment hire.
  • Operate the Park shop, selling essentials and maintaining stock levels.
  • Keep the retail area clean, organised, and well-presented.
  • Upsell products and promote Park activities to enhance guest experience and revenue.
  • Serve customers promptly and professionally at catering outlets.
  • Prepare hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) to a consistent standard.
  • Assist with basic food preparation, following hygiene and safety guidelines.
  • Clear tables, manage waste appropriately, and maintain a clean café and dining environment.
  • Keep all food preparation and serving areas clean, hygienic, and well-presented at all times.
  • Provide accurate information about Park activities, pricing, safety, and catering.
  • Support colleagues and respond to guest queries in a polite and professional manner.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately in reception, retail, and catering.
  • Follow company procedures for secure cash handling.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across reception, retail, and catering spaces.
  • Assist with lost property procedures in accordance with company policy.

General responsibilities

· Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

· Work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

· Maintain a professional standard of personal presentation.

· Stay calm, effective, and positive in a fast-paced environment.

· Adapt to changing business needs and work flexibly across multiple departments.

Additional duties:

· Support special events, functions, and seasonal activities.

· Attend staff meetings and required training sessions.

· Undertake any reasonable management requests.

· Access training opportunities, including progression into leading roles (e.g., kitchen leadership).

Legal Duties:

· Comply with GDPR, Employment Law, Weights & Measures, Health & Safety, and Food Hygiene regulations.

· Follow allergen control procedures and provide accurate allergen information to guests.

· Attend required safety, compliance, and operational training sessions.

· Adhere to company cash handling procedures.
