Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas, ensuring all dishes meet our standards of taste and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in food preparation and culinary arts to showcase their skills in a dynamic restaurant environment. The Pizza maker will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers through expert pizza creation and efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of other menu items as required, supporting overall kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pizza station, including sanitising work surfaces and utensils regularly.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety standards are met.
  • Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of low supplies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
  • Experience in meal preparation, particularly with pizza or similar dishes, is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
  • Good understanding of culinary techniques related to pizza making, including dough handling, topping placement, and baking processes.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business schedule.
