Kitchen Porter
£12.71 per hour (NMW - Dependant on candidates age)
Location : Foresters Restaurant, Darwin Forest
Casual contract

Key responsibilities

  • To clean all pots, pans and any other equipment as required and ensure they are stored correctly and neatly
  • Ensure all crockery, cutlery and glassware are washed properly, dried and stored correctly and are available for outlets as required
  • Maintenance of kitchen area, sweeping/mopping floors, steam clean or hose out bins as required and emptying bins when full etc
  • To ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed in the entire kitchen area and compliance with all health and safety policies
  • Ensure the chefs kitchen equipment is in working order for service and report any maintenance issues
  • Working closely with the front of house team to provide an excellent customer experience and service.

There may be an opportunity to progress, through working on pizza service as well as making our restaurant starters and desserts, depending on candidate capability and career interests.

We are recruiting Kitchen Porter to work as part of our Kitchen team at the Foresters Bar & Restaurant. Primarily school holidays including bank holiday, evening / weekend work available.

Communication is key and the successful candidate must be able to work well under pressure and keep a level head.

Ideal candidates will appreciate importance of acting as an ambassador for Pinelodge Holidays and strive to “Delight every Guest so they Wish to Return”. The Foresters team are in contact with our guests and members on a daily basis and must demonstrate a friendly, welcoming and professional image at all times.

We would like to hear from you if you have experience of working in a fast paced restaurant and kitchen experience.

Due to the location and the start and end times of some shifts it would be beneficial for candidates to have their own transport.
