HMSHost UK, part of the Avolta group is hiring at Stansted Airport for our Perch Bar & Sunnyside Cafe at £12.71 per hour!

We are looking for a warm and passionate team member to join our team at Stansted Airport across our two exciting concepts – our premium cocktail bar, Perch, and our vibrant all-day café, Sunnyside.

These are two separate Team Member roles, with one position based in Perch and the other in Sunnyside.

Perch offers an innovative and inspirational food menu like no other, with a stylish cocktail bar ambience that sets the mood for guests travelling through the airport. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, indulge, and enjoy expertly crafted drinks.

Sunnyside, by contrast, brings a fresh, uplifting café experience, serving quality coffee, delicious food, and a bright, energetic atmosphere to help our guests start their journey on the right note.

What is the Role?

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills. As a Team Member, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere and ensuring smooth service flow. You'll prepare high‑quality coffees, maintain excellent product knowledge, and ensure guests enjoy smooth and friendly service from the moment they order. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A warm, welcoming personality and genuine passion for hospitality
• Have barista experience
• Confidence greeting guests and managing seating (for Host applicants)
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to stay upbeat, organised, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• A love for great food, drinks, and creating memorable guest experiences
• Flexibility for early starts, late finishes, weekends, and holiday shifts

Due to airport flight schedules, our shift times vary. Our morning shifts can start as early as 3am and our late shifts can finish up to 11pm so you must ensure you are flexible to work one of these shift patterns. You will also be required to obtain a security pass to gain access airside at the restaurant, for this you will need to provide 5 year’s checkable referencing.

Right to Work in the UK

Candidates must have a valid Right to Work in the UK. This can be demonstrated through one of the following:

· A valid UK passport.

· An original UK birth certificate accompanied by your National Insurance number.

Security Pass Requirements

As this role involves working at an airport, successful candidates will also need to obtain a security pass. For this, we will require valid photo ID, such as a Driving Licence or Passport. Please ensure you can provide the appropriate original documentation during the recruitment process
