Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the hospitality industry, particularly those with an interest in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations. Previous experience in a kitchen, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support the kitchen team
  • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitised to high standards
  • Support the organisation of the kitchen by maintaining stock levels and ensuring supplies are stored correctly
  • Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas during service times
  • Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment
  • Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy periods as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not mandatory
