Full job description

We’re on the lookout for a Sous Chef to join our small but mighty kitchen team at Artist Residence Bristol – our relaxed neighbourhood restaurant and bar in Portland square.

This is the perfect role for someone who’s passionate about honest, quality food, takes real pride in their kitchen, and thrives in a creative, close-knit environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting our Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Leading services with confidence when required
  • Preparing and plating beautiful, unfussy dishes to consistently high standards
  • Upholding EHO and food safety standards, maintaining a spotless, well-organised kitchen
  • Managing prep efficiently with minimal wastage
  • Working closely with the FOH team to deliver smooth, memorable services
  • Helping nurture and support junior team members
  • Minimum 35 hours across the week (weekend availablity esstential)
